What Happened to BedWars 2? The 10-Week Life of the Failed Sequel
Short answer: BedWars 2 is gone. The official sequel launched on February 25, 2026 and shut down roughly ten weeks later, on May 4, 2026. The original Roblox BedWars is still live, still updated every Friday, and remains the only supported game in the series.

- On or before January 2023 — Easy.gg begins building “Airship,” its own game platform outside Roblox, which would become BedWars 2’s foundation.
- By October 2024 — BedWars 2 is in active development.
- July 30, 2025 — official announcement on the BedWars Discord server.
- Late 2025 – early 2026 — months of playtests and bug-fixing rounds.
- February 25, 2026 — public release on Airship.
- February–May 2026 — five major updates and two new kits ship during the run.
- May 4, 2026 — shutdown, with Easy.gg citing difficulties supporting the Airship platform’s future changes.
What BedWars 2 actually was
Not a Roblox game — that’s the detail most people miss. BedWars 2 ran on Airship, Easy.gg’s own platform, which meant leaving the Roblox ecosystem behind. At launch, five of its six kits were adapted from the original game (Barbarian, Farmer Cletus, Eldertree, Jade and Raven), and the core bed-defense loop carried over with reworked mechanics.
Why it matters for the original game
The shutdown concentrated development back on the game that works.
